Add the Evidence
Students read a short witness-log microtext, list every piece of supporting evidence, then join related pieces with additive connectors so the log reads as connected evidence, not a bulleted list.
Purpose
Teachers: students often write evidence as a list of disconnected sentences. This lesson gives them the shortest, highest-leverage connector family — additive connectors — so two supporting facts read as one connected observation instead of two orphan lines.
Grammar target
Join two supporting evidence sentences with a modelled adding word: and, also, in addition. (moreover is an optional Level 3–4 stretch only.)
