Chain the Evidence
Students take a mixed dossier — several facts that add up and one fact that is different in kind — and write a 4–6 sentence chain that uses at least one additive connector, at least one contrast connector, and never invents facts.
Purpose
Teachers: this lesson pulls CN-01 and CN-02 together. Students produce a short, honest evidence chain that shows they can hold multiple pieces of evidence in one connected paragraph — the foundation for the Explain Causes and Compare arcs and for the planned Argue pathway.
