Arc CN · Lesson CN-03

Chain the Evidence

Students take a mixed dossier — some supporting evidence, some contradictory evidence — and write a 4–6 sentence chain that uses at least one additive connector, at least one contrast connector, and never invents facts.

Grammar target

Combine additive and contrast connectors in a 4–6 sentence evidence chain.

Essential question

How do I connect several pieces of evidence — some that agree, some that don't — into one honest paragraph?

Objective

Students can write a 4–6 sentence evidence chain that uses at least one additive and one contrast connector, and that stays inside the evidence limit.
