Build the Description
Students read a labelled hallway still and separate what is visible from what is only a guess. They then build noun phrases one at a time, with the article first, one adjective next, and the noun last.
Grammar target
Write one noun phrase: a / the + one adjective + noun. Two adjectives, and the adjective order that goes with them, are optional Level 3–4 stretch only.
Objective
Students can write a noun phrase with an article, one adjective and a noun, and can say which details are visible and which are a guess.
